Christmas 2005

I just had my first Christmas, with gifts and everything. Grandma and Grand-dad was here in Sorø from Spain together with Aunt Vivian.Victor at X-mas

My first tooth

My first tooth is on it’s way. It’s a little hard to see yet, but it’s very easy to feel how sharp it is.

Mum and Dad were a bit surprised, that it was there, because I didn’t make a fuzz about it. I should have thought that they had already learned, that I’m a though little guy!

Growing and developing

I’ve been quiet for quite a while, but I have been busy growing and learning new things. Firstly I have started to practice talking, and I make all kinds of noise - especially when I’m a little bored. I am also able to distinguise my parents from other people, so I can give them the biggest of smiles.

So now it’s official

Today I was christened Victor Piil in Lynge Kirke, Sorø. I was wearing the same suit as my grandfather (on my mother’s side) and his brother. By coincidence he was actually christened at exactly the same date in 1927 - 78 years ago.

Also Mum and her two sisters are christened in the suit, and it is even older, but unfortunatly we don’t know who has used it before Jens and Søren.

My godmother was Dad’s sister Vivian, who is holding me on the picture.

Birthday Party

Yesterday it was my half-sister Ragna’s birthday. Her father and his wife were visiting us from Funen, and we had a nice evening. Like always when there are visitors, I behaved very nice, playing with my toys all night and falling instantly to sleep, when I was put in bed.

Another baby is born

Yesterday my dads cousin Garo in Canada had a son. He is called Vayk. I hope that we will be able to see them some time within the next year. If they could come to Denmark or we could go to Canada. It’ll be fun to have a playmate almost my own age.

Congratulations to Garo and Any, and all the best for Vayk!

Back with a smile

I haven’t been writing for quite a while. I blame my dad (everyone else does as well), but now I’m back. Dad promised to update the photo album with all the pictures taken while I havn’t been writing, so look there (link in the menu).

In the movies

My father made a short video with me. Unfortunately he didn’t think when he filmed, so he rotated the camera 90 degrees. So you will have to rotate your monitor, or maybe just your head.

*Update!*
Dad found a way to fix his error, so below is a link to the same video, but with the right orientation.

New Toys

Today I had vistors all the way from Brussels. It’s was dad’s cousin Karin and her family. They have two daugthers (the youngest a year older than me), and they have stopped using some of their toys, so they gave it to me.

Victor Playing

I have never really reacted to toys before, but when I was lying on the floor, with the toys dangling above me in the sunlight, I look pretty funny, and I tried reaching out for it, hitting it sometimes.

Today I also changed the name of my weblog to: “Victor Piil’s Baby Blog”. It has a nice sound to it, I think.

As usual there are more pictures in the photo album

Backwheeling

This evening dad took me out in the pram. I kept crying until he pushed down the handle of the pram, so we were only riding on two wheels. That way I could look at dad so I didn’t get bored. After a while dad thought it was ok, and put the pram down on four wheels again, so I had to start to cry again. Then dad got us back on two wheels. That was great. I managed to stay awake for almost two miles, even though I was pretty tired.
